What is a ‘Transit’?

In the Human Design System, a ‘transit’ refers to the current positions of our solar system’s celestial bodies and their energetic activations within an individual's bodygraph. The System uses a person’s exact birth time, date, and location to create a unique bodygraph: the visualization of the celestial bodies’ positions bodies at the moment of an individual’s birth as well as around 88 days prior. This bodygraph is compared to the current positions of the celestial bodies in order to determine the effects of the current transits on an individual. Essentially, transits are temporary, energetic influences on a person that can bring opportunities for growth and change that may come with challenges and difficulties to overcome. The calculations behind the transits are based on the physical transiting, or movement, of the celestial bodies through the 64 gates of the zodiacal wheel. Transits are used to help an individual understand how the current fluctuations in the neutrino stream might be affecting their life, and also to make predictive assertions of future moments. The Importance of Transits

Transits play an important role in understanding the current influences and potential vagaries of an individual's life. By comparing the positions of the celestial bodies at the time of one's birth to their current positions, we can gain insight into the temporary gate activations that are influencing our lives — the unavoidable, cosmic conditioning through the neutrino stream.

To assist in this understanding, we have created a free Daily Transit Log in PDF format. This log allows you to record the daily transits and their corresponding effects on your Design. By keeping a record of these transits, and their effects, individuals can better understand patterns and trends in the influences shaping their lives.
